The lead replacement scheme was introduced to help reduce lead content in our drinking water due to it being a potentially hazardous material.

All you need to do is have a new water supply installed from your internal stop tap up to your garden boundary then your local water authority will replace the lead communications pipe from the main in the road up to your boundary, usually free of charge.
